Individual Therapy

Individual therapy serves to empower and assist you in better understanding your own insight, hope, strengths and resiliency while re-authoring your personal narrative.

During sessions, clients are provided a safe environment to identify and explore concerns, develop known skills, and gain knowledge of new skills that are beneficial to the client’s needs.

Issues addressed include: anger management, anxiety, autism, behavioral issues, coping skills, depression, emotional disturbance, family conflict, gender identity, grief and loss, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma and PTSD.

Group Therapy

Group therapy can be beneficial when working with a population of individuals who can benefit from socializing and engaging with others in their process to heal.

In small group settings, individuals gain insight from others and work together to improve a collective well-being. As human beings, we learn from others. Whether it is from experiences or from knowledge that is shared. Groups of individuals can help problem-solve situations from various perspectives, which may positively impact an individual’s way of looking at their own personal challenges.

Art Therapy Support and Supervision

Whether you are an art therapist or a traditional talk therapist, incorporating art into your practice can be beneficial to both you and your client.

Working with mental health professionals, I explain the benefits of utilizing art in various clinical settings. This can include how creating art can be a source of self-care to a mental health professional when working with challenging clients or how to encourage a client to engage in art-making to better explain their thoughts and emotions.

As we collaborate, we will discuss client cases and demographics, use of materials, and how to appropriately utilize art as a part of the therapeutic process. I will help in suggesting a variety of art therapy directives that can be presented to clients as a means to express themselves during sessions, keeping in mind their needs, strengths, and goals for therapy.

If you have graduated from a master’s level art therapy program and are seeking post-education supervision for clinical experience, please feel free to contact me for more information about individual and group art therapy supervision.
